Public Notice -- The Marple Newtown Board of School Directors has adopted its Proposed Final Budget on May 26, 2009. The Proposed Final Budget for 2009-2010 is available for public inspection in the Business Office of the Marple Newtown School District, 38 Media Line Road, Suite 204, Newtown Square, PA, all schools, the local libraries, municipal buildings, the post offices and District website. The Marple Newtown School Board of Directors intends to adopt the Final Budget, for 2009-2010, at its regularly scheduled meeting to be held on June 23, 2009 at 7:30 PM, in the Board Room, at the Gauntlett Center, 40 Media Line Road, Newtown Square Pa 19073.

New Information Concerning Swine Influenza -- Marple Newtown School District has been following the information regarding the Swine Flu outbreak in Mexico as well as those cases in the United States. The PA Department of Health has stated that there is no action to take at this time. The District will continue to closely follow recommendations from health officials and update our website as needed. Please see the attached information update from the PA Department of Education and the PA Department of Health.
Summer School Opportunities -- The Summer School program has been designed for the student seeking restoration or enrichment. The program of summer courses will provide an opportunity to achieve high school credit for courses previously taken or to learn new skills. Restoration Subjects are for the student who must retake and pass a required course or for the student who is seeking improvement in academic areas. Enrichment Subjects are Honors level full credit courses for those students who wish to develop skills independent of the academic curriculum.
Students should review our Summer School program with their guidance counselor before assuming high school credit will transfer. Students from all schools are welcome to enroll. More information about Summer School offerings can be found on the attached flyer.
Balancing Fiscal Responsibility for the Marple Newtown High School Project --In order to provide our students an excellent education, we have completed the needs analysis for Marple Newtown High School. This analysis identifies the educational program and its requirements for the building, such as integrating technology into the classrooms. Read more ....
