Attention Seniors!  The time for making decisions regarding post-secondary plans whether it be college, technical school, military options or possible employment is here.  There is much to be done over the next six months.  The attached letter has information from the counselors to help you get started (if you haven't already done so!)

MNEA Scholarship: The Marple Newtown Education Association will award three $2,000 scholarships at graduation. Applications are now available in the Guidance Office. Applications must be complete and returned to the Guidance Office by Friday, May 8th.


Summer Enrichment Programs!  Looking for a different way to spend your summer?  These colleges offer a variety of programs to explore different interests, earn credit, or just have fun!  Click here for a list of nearly 100 different programs!

PSAT Booklets -- Hard copies of the PSAT test booklet are available in the Counseling Office for anyone who would like one.

Destination College -- check out this video from CollegeBoard.com which students interpret and use their PSAT score report, My College QuickStart, and other free resources to improve their academic skills, prepare for the SAT, and plan for college.  <Watch video>


Monday, April 27th –  College Panel; 7-8:30pm in the library of the high school.  All students and their parents in grades 9-11 welcome to attend.

Tuesday, April 28th – Main Line College Fair; 6:30-9pm at Villanova University.


SAT Prep — Marple Newtown High School has partnered with CollegeBoard and "The Official SAT Online Course," a personalized and interactive online course featuring 18 lessons, 3 official practice tests, practice questions, personalized feedback, answer explanations and an auto essay scoring feature. Students can go to: www.collegeboard.com/satonlinecourseschool and in the "students" box, click register now. If you do not have the school code for logging in, please visit the Counseling office for an online student registration card. Please contact your counselor if you have any questions or problems accessing the program.


COLLEGE VISITATION SCHEDULE

To attend a College visit, students must go to the Guidance Office before school on the morning of the visit and obtain a pass.
