Lemonade Bowl -- May 21, 2008
Sponsor Information | T-Shirt Order Form
Paxon Hollow Middle School will be hosting the 3rd Annual Lemonade Bowl. The Lemonade Bowl has grown out of a relationship which Paxon Hollow Middle School has developed with Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and its founder, Alexandra Scott. Since 2004, Paxon Hollow and Haverford Middle Schools have raised over $125,000 to benefit pediatric cancer research.
As we continue to impress upon our students the importance of helping others and making good choices, we have identified three causes for this year’s event. Our main beneficiary will be the “Spread the Magic” Foundation, founded by a young man named Chad Juros, a pediatric cancer survivor. In addition, we will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Dave Covell Foundation and to “Alex’s Lemonade Stand”. This year’s theme will be "Together, We Can!”
The Lemonade Bowl will take place during the school day and include all Paxon Hollow students. Activities will be designed to incorporate teamwork, cooperation, importance of helping others, and making good decisions.
The students will eat lunch during their regularly scheduled time. The cafeteria has planned an outdoor barbecue. Lunch may be purchased through the cafeteria or brought from home. Regular transportation will be provided at the conclusion of the school day.
In order to defray the cost of purchasing t-shirts, snacks and to aid in the fundraising, we are asking for $10 donation from each student. All checks should be made out to Paxon Hollow PTO. Any questions or concerns should be directed to either Terri Harper (THarper@MNSD.org) or Michele Lunn (MLunn@MNSD.org)
